You know – one of those days when you have a long to-do list and you plow through it. I’ll spare you all the details – but the bread will soon go in the oven (sourdough) so hurrah!
Also – I love being able to hang laundry on the line.
And I love that Abby and I had a chance to get out for a quick walk at Bannock Point – and the best feeling is getting everything done that I wanted to in the garden. That’s most important because it’s a living thing. And besides, I love it – it’s very personal.
Picked strawberries and planted two more pots of everbearing runners. Cut off all the other runners so they’re good to go. Picked a huge salad for dinner. I have lots more radishes coming up all over the place, including in amongst the eggplants.
Aphid control seems to be working on the artichoke.
Weed control is the usual – keeping one step ahead of them but just barely.
Most important – the garden is lush and beautiful and productive.
Feels good.
