This little guy/gal has been living in our garden birdhouse for the past several days. For a large part of the day, she isn’t there at all and then out she pops and just hangs around, apparently enjoying the view. Maybe she goes down into the garden bed – I don’t know. But he seems content to be there – pays us very little attention.
A total sweetie.
So – it has been another domestic day: baking sourdough bread, making sourdough pancakes, doing laundry, cleaning – surviving the grey blanket of chill that is hanging in right into almost mid July. After lunch I got out into the garden: fertilizing, weeding – all the usual. And then the sun came out and suddenly it was lovely.
And now all I have to do is make a huge salad straight from the garden, bake the bread and voila! Dinner!
Also – make lunch for tomorrow and prepare my pack. Hiking! Hurrah! I need it rather badly. And I do love Lightning Strike!
A dear friend is beginning her journey today on a wonderful residential program called Quantum Leap – one of the Excellence Seminars. I am so thrilled for her – thinking of her every minute. Knowing that the place she is in a sacred space for learning herself – touching her essence.
Life is weird, strange, serendipitous and wonderful.
