In all honesty, it’s not a wave. It’s probably just one day. Still – wow! Hot work in the garden today. And here is one of our lovely roses. The newest part of the garden that we are clearing, which is on the far side of the old cabin, has many treasures. There are some glorious irises over there. It’s amazing that they are still going so very strong, given how hard they have to fight to survive. But bit by bit, we are reclaiming these gardens.
We have plans: the blueberry patch for one – and then a bench for lavender and clearing out all sorts of space for fruit trees and the flowers that are already there.
Fun.
And hot sweaty work today.
Gardening is just a more refined word for weeding and pulling out crap.
Whew! Time to get my pack ready for tomorrow.
Going to bring my ice axe. Just in case.
We are making little miracles happen daily. It’s amazing how certain spaces have formed their own homeostasis, and our efforts to not impede that but simply augment it. I love the idea of permaculture and food forests!
me too. I love you!
