While it has been pouring rain today and everyone in the valley has been on evacuation alert, Simon has worked in the garden (I am too much of a wuss apparently to work in the cold rain) and, back inside, has talked about projects.
Bascially, we have a lot of projects for the property.
First, Simon wants to build an irrigation system. Yes – that will be super and much needed. Then there”s the question of the shed – getting it sorted and properly insulated and so on.. But top of mind are all the garden projects. The greenhouse and the grow-lights for the basement – those will be in place for next spring and should put us a month ahead of this year.
Then there is the gradual garden expansion – a couple of years down the road that will include restructuring the old cabin.
We are well on the way to having way more to do.
Yay! (I mean – I think it’s a “yay!”)
In other news, Abby is doing better. The alertness is back in her eyes. She ate a good dinner. She is managing to walk a bit – enough to go out and come back in. But she still prefers to have food and water brought to her. She’s awfully shaky on her legs. But better. So glad my sweet girl is still with us.
