I did not expect to hop in my car first thing this morning and drive to Nelson – and spend a good portion of the day there. But sometimes you just have to roll with it.
The issue was more stuff with the car. Something about a ball bearing (or two or three – who knows how many of those things a car has?)
At any rate, while the car was in the shop, I did the weekly grocery shopping and then wandered around town. The lilacs were in full bloom – the odour intoxicating. Soon our own lilacs will flower and I will fill the house with them.
I grabbed a sandwich to go at the Co-op and sat on a sunny bench in the park, watching the swallows flit in and out of their houses. So nice.
And then, on the way home, picked up a few basket stuffers for the planters.
Still managed to get home in time to plant the cherry tomatoes in their huge buckets.
An odd day – not as expected – and you know what? A lovely day. I am feeling the love. I have that sense that all is as it should be and that good things are on the way.
