Suddenly we’ve hit that place where there aren’t enough hours in the day.
Pete delivered our black gold today, otherwise known as soil. It’s gorgeous. And I need to get to work on it. I didn’t expect it so soon but I’m thrilled it’s here.
I weeded the raspberries today and uncovered all the garlic – looking great!
And now to distribute the soil, get my seedlings into cold frames and plant onions and potatoes.
Still waiting for the seeds to come but I know they’ve been shipped so spinach should be going into the ground soon. And darnitall – I can’t do it tomorrow because I have to go to Nelson for work on the car.
And Wednesday I have to stage the house – hoping for time in the afternoon. And then all day Thursday.
Eager to get to it. Want to get to it NOW!
But there’s soup on the stove and sourdough bread waiting to go into the oven.
You see? Not enough hours in the day.
Just. Like. That.
Thank you for embracing this life with such love and vigor! The garden will be fantastic!
