Mount Sentinel

Alisa and I had the best time hiking today up Mount Sentinel. This hike is steep on a south-facing slope above Castlegar. This is one of the first hikes of the season because it gets so much heat. Happily, the spring flowers were out, even flowers on the pine trees – so rare to see those.

We had the best time!

Pure joy!

Still feeling elated because of the day. It was so darn perfect!

Pretty sure Alisa loved it too. We even saw a gorgeous ruffed grouse and lots of elk poop. We ran into snow near the top but past the snow was sunshine, a great lunch spot and a terrific view.

So happy!
