Planning anything at all is interesting right now – in these times. I have all sorts of ideas about moving out here again, about my next book project, about – well, all sorts of things.
And truthfully, if Simon manages to get the carrots and celery I need for tonight’s dinner, I’ll feel like it’s a major win! Really – planning dinner and having it work out: that’s pretty cool.
I can’t help but think of my mother’s stories of the war. Yeah – we’ve still got it pretty easy. That said, at the start, it seems fairly similar: adapting to change that sometimes feels drastic, wondering what’s next, uncertainty, trying to normalize, and mostly, wanting to look after your family and keep them safe.
We live in interesting times.
And even though it feels almost futile to plan, I know that I will, with the proviso that “All plans are subject to change without notice.”
