I don’t know why but today feels like everything is on pause.
That’s okay. Just go with Plan B. I don’t know what Plan B is but I suspect it’s whatever I’m doing right now.
The big event of the day – a trip to VPO in Nanaimo. Yes, they now stock Lowa boots. And not just the Renegades. They have Mauria GTX boots. Wow!
I tried them on. I bought them.
And yes, this means that I now own 3 pairs of Lowas. I explained to Simon that now I would never have to buy another pair.
He laughed and laughed.
But seriously, the boots I bought in Switzerland are showing wear and tear. My current Renegades are in decent shape because I’m not so hard on them. I suspect I will be very hard on these – but that’s what they are built for.
So – that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it.
And then I got home and after lunch I walked Abby in a hailstorm, which stopped right after we got home (of course).
I think it’s time for me to focus on getting ready for tomorrow’s snowshoe trip. I’m in a tiny funk. Nothing the least bit serious.
I think part of Plan B is making a sandwich and getting my pack ready for tomorrow.
