I suppose “down” could be taken several ways. For instance, I just made the bed and fluffed down pillows and down duvet. That’s about all I need to call it a down day. On the other hand it could also mean a day of vegging out. So, given it was not a mopey day, let’s just say that Simon and I weren’t impressively active.
Simon was/is still not well so we opted to drive to Kaslo and then on to Meadow Creek to explore the land possibilities – pretty encouraging. And then we had lunch in the little cafe in Kaslo. And that was extremely impressive. After that I had to visit the outdoor store I spotted. Excitingly, they carry Darn Tough socks.
I emphatically do NOT need more Darn Tough socks. My sock drawer is full. It is beyond full. BUT they had new patterns and colours in the styles I prefer. In my defence, I only bought two pair.
Funny how lazy days affect me. I get way more tired than if I was out doing an epic hike. By the time we got home at about 3, I crashed.
And of course Simon is out cold, trying to recuperate from flu bug stuff.
Tomorrow is a snowshoeing day. That should wake me up! It should also be a grand excuse for wearing a new pair of socks.
