That blog title is a reminder to myself.
Today, I have found myself too often in a place of despair. I am beginning to find it astonishing that so many people (the vast majority) continue to live their lives as though nothing is amiss: as though the climate crisis isn’t already far past the tipping point; as though democracy is isn’t already dead and the oligarchs have taken over; as though blatant lying and cheating by elected officials is the norm and is okay – I could go on and on.
The point is, we are in free fall and people debate whether or not they believe in parachutes.
Okay – deep breath. This is where the focus has to become local – small – sometimes down to the size of a pinhead.
This is where I focus on this life and this love and what my love and I can do in our tiny corner. If we end up going down in flames, let it at least be true that we did the best we could; that we did not buy into the lies; that we loved the Mother truly – and each other – and our family and friends – and that we did all we could from a place of love.
