We seem to keep getting lucky with our hikes. Every time we schedule one, a window opens in the weather.
And that’s what happened today. We had a good crowd for Hardy and Copely Ridges in Lantzville: 14 of us. It was a decent workout and we got to walk through some pretty forest. I am totally obsessed with the Shutter function on my camera, knowing I can now take hand-held shots at 1/10th second and get some decent flowing water shots. So, obviously, I stop at every creek along the way.
Speaking of obsessions. I have a new one (which I needed because, let’s face it, I have enough socks!). I have become totally enraptured with permaculture and, more specifically, food forests. What I am reading is getting me pretty darn excited. I have books, a pen, and three pads of post-it notes. In other words, I am fully armed.
Going to get back to those books pretty darn soon. And then, when my head is full-ish, I may just have to crack open a bottle of wine. It is, after all, Saturday night, right? And I might even get to talk to my love. It doesn’t get much better than that.
