Mount Prevost

Now that was a pretty good day.

We left Nanaimo at 8.30 and drove into rain. Uh-oh, we thought as we drove into dark clouds. So we got to the parking area and as we got out of the vehicles the rain stopped. The sun shone!

Well – that was nice!

And so we hiked up to the top of Mount Prevost, running into a skiff of snow near the top – and a lot of muddy and slippery sections along the way.

At the top we had lunch in warmth and sunshine. How cool is that in January?

And then back down.

Really – what else is there to say? Good group – good hike – beautiful as always.

Two minutes after getting back into the vehicles, the rain started. We had the perfect window.

Home: quick walk with Abby, nice hot bubble bath. Chilling and relaxing. I love the way my body feels after a good workout.

The best part of my day is yet to come: talking with Simon. But don’t tell him that – his head will swell and goddess knows, we don’t need more of that.

(I know, I know – I am silly in love. Can’t help it.)
