Rain. Epic rain. And wind. Epic wind.
It is also dark.
And the power has been flickering on and off. I have unplugged my computer because I believe that having it crash more than 3 times is probably not a good thing.
Still, nice things happened today. Julie and I took dogs for a walk at Cable Bay before the deluge set in and when we arrived back at the parking lot, there was an elderly man getting out of his Jeep.
“Do you ladies like owls?” He asked.
We allowed that we did.
And he presented each of us with an owl pendant carved from yew wood – just because he wanted to give us something. We gave him hugs in return and it was heart-warming and lovely.
Then, with the storm well under way this afternoon, Abby and I ventured into Hemer Park for a long walk. Well!
Soaked.
And mud up to the ankles.
I have a feeling that tonight may be a glass of wine sort of evening. In fact, I feel quite certain of it. How clever of me to have bought a bottle of cheap plonk this morning. That is what is know as prescience.
