My brain has been swimming all day in ideas for gardening – more specifically permaculture and hugelkultur – and then Annette sent me links to another great idea for gardening with chickens.
And then there’s the fruit tree and growing under fruit tree idea. I think I see the necessity to incorporate several ideas – to do it all. Yes, my gardening brain is beginning to percolate.
In other news, thanks to Val for the photo of Abby and I on our walk a couple of days ago.
And the photo above is of a remembrance tree I came across today on our Nanaimo River walk. I stood there looking at it and got all teary – in remembrance of those beautiful four-legged souls we have lost.
And last night, I heard the rat. Yup – lying in bed, freaking out, heart beating like mad, waiting for the crash of the trap, which never came.
What I’m saying is that I did not sleep well.
Maybe tonight it will work.
So there it is – life and my day – a mixed bag. But, most important, I felt a hit of gratitude on every step of my walk. I am grateful for the love that fills my life. There is nothing on this earth that is more important. And it only took me a zillion or so decades to find that out.
