This morning’s torrential downpour curtailed all plans of hiking up to Heart Lake. Abby and I stayed hunkered down. We went out for 20 minutes – soaked.
And it was dark so we just got cosy and did virtually nothing. And then, this afternoon, the sky cleared and we ventured out to splash through monumental puddles at Jack Point. And it was gorgeous! The sun came out and the light was wonderful.
And so it was just me and Abby and our thoughts today. I’m pretty sure that Abby’s centred around “When is dinnertime?”
Mine were more along the lines of loving and feeling loved and – well – that’s about it. Yes, yes – horrible politics came into play now and then, but mostly, I chose to spend the better part of my day loving. And that felt so much better.
