Yes – a day completely devoted to the hiking club.
First up: meeting at Westwood Lake in the early morning to hike the Westwood Ridges – and what a gorgeous morning it was – with all that beautiful October light and the stillness of the water mirroring the colours of the trees – perfection!
And then some up and down and up and down, proving I am not well yet. But getting better.
Then I dashed home, got out very quickly with Abby, had lunch and took a very short nap. Then off to the AGM – not that I like meetings (not one bit) but I was not about to miss Wendy and Mike Knippel’s Thelwood presentation with its intriquing promise of interpretive dance.
It was well worth it – the presentation was wonderful. And it was terrific to connect with a lot of people there and to make plans for some backpacking trips for next year – and even what looks to be a challenging day trip next weekend. I will be up for it whether I like it or not.
Yeah – a great day. And now I am going to finish it off with a glass of wine – maybe even 1.5 glasses. Why? Because I can!
Beautiful pictures
thank you, Bart
