That was one of the most delightful visits I’ve had.
Kathleen came over yesterday evening just in time to help me drink some wonderful wine (which she brought) and then eat a big veggie curry. And we talked and talked and talked and it was all the best kind of talk – you know, the kind where you open your heart and soul and see each other and get real and talk about the things that really matter.
We didn’t discuss the weather once.
And then this morning I picked her up at 10 and we walked with Abby through Yellow Point Park and visited the Yellow Point Lodge – and the sun shone and warmed us and it was altogether fabulous. We could have ended it right there – but why?
We went to lunch at Delicados, and Kathleen still had plenty of time to catch her ferry.
Just the best time.
And I was going to go to Costco after all that but I didn’t. I went home for a nap instead. Costco will have to wait until Sunday because tomorrow is a big hike day with the Ramblers.
Unless I just feed Abby now and head up to Costco. Hmmmm……
