That magical time of year is almost here: the time I call October Light. Slowly, slowly the sun is dropping lower into the sky and its light is filled with gold, tugging mist off the grass in the morning, painting droplets on spider webs, kissing the trees with fairy lips.
A photographer’s dream.
So today Pat and I hiked up to Heart Lake with Abby in tow and she was wonderful – kept right up with us for more than three hours. And then went for another walk in Hemer Park this afternoon.
It was a day of walking.
A quiet, uneventful, restful, napping kind of day and I loved it.
And as sometimes happens, unexpected emotions. Suddenly. They come. Fill me.
I am filled with love – whole-heartedly loving. And joy – whole-hearted joy.
