On the Island

Abby is trying to figure out sleeping in the big house. What she really wants is to be upstairs in the stable. This feels strange to her.

But she was awfully excited to be back. Ran right up the stairs and into her house.

It hasn’t changed much. New flooring. New washing machine.

It wasn’t until I started driving down Cedar Road that it hit me where I was and I started feeling like I was coming home. But tonight it’s all surreal because I’m not in my stable yet, tomorrow is going to be awfully busy.

I cried a lot this morning – from the minute I said my good-byes until I got to Nicky’s place and I am still a mess of emotions. I think it’s going to take some time to settle in.

Tired.
