Simon called me this morning from work “I’m approved!”
And that was it – a huge burden of stress lifted from both of us.
Every domino has fallen over – and now it’s full speed ahead. I called Shaw Cable to come out with a modem and installation on July 29. We should be mostly finished unloading the truck by the time he arrives.
I have most everything done. All we have to do now is see the lawyer, get funds transferred (closing July 5) and go to the bank to change over accounts.
And that’s it. Simon and I can now confidently get on with our lives.
I felt my first pang of real sadness toady – it’s the unravelling of things – things we built up together.
And I still don’t want to dwell on it. I have too much to handle for now.
I need to go through the storage shed and haul out my stuff, go through it, get rid of things – pack things. I need to buy boxes. I need to gather together my requirements for the Hoffman Process. I need to organize my hike for tomorrow and for Sunday and then I can just be a lazy old participant for the rest of the weeks I am here.
And then the move. I know it’s going to come fast.
