Well, the bee moved a bit too fast for my camera but I love the bumblebee on our dandelion so much I posted it anyway. I simply adore bumblebees. They are incredibly cute and far too fat to fly but they do anyway. And usually their bums are all covered with pollen dust and that makes them even more adorable.
So today – warm, sunny! I cleaned the car. No, I don’t mean I washed it (although I did do that) – I vacuumed and washed all those places inside like door frames and dashboards and all the mucky spots.
Then of course, I didn’t want to get into it or drive it or, god forbid, put the dogs into it. But then Simon came home from work and wanted to go to the store – with the dogs!
So – blankets and towels on the back seat and checking my shoes to make sure there was no dirt or pebbles on them. This meticulous care will continue for at least another 12 hours.
And yes, the garden: weeding, cultivating, watering. And in the next few days, I will sow a few more herbs and the last of the lettuce. Pretty much every square inch of space is taken now – upper and lower. I think gardens are a lot like houses or storage sheds: you will need and fill to the brim however much space is available. It’s just the law.
Even when you start off thinking, “That’s way too much space!”
And that’s it – that’s the day. Alisa arrives tomorrow and my friends and I are planning our June weekend in Oroville!
Fun!
And I thought about a thought-provoking question today. More to come on that.
