Okay – the peas are growing like mad now. So is the first sowing of spinach and both sowings of radishes.
The plants in the cold frames are doing well. In fact, I’d say the garden has never looked better. And it’s good to be hanging out there when the sun is shining and it’s warm.
Yeah – I’m a fair weather gardener. But given the weather is going to be pretty darn fine for the next 10 days at the very least, I suspect a lot of gardening is going to go on.
In other news, feeling exhausted today. Got up just after 5.30 in order to drive Simon to work. Of course, the stores weren’t open yet (no – not fashion: drug and food) so I ended up on a brisk and lengthy walk along the waterfront and through the park system.
I got a ton of chores done. And I napped for almost two hours! Holy heck!
And that’s it. Oh – thrilled that the Green Party – Paul Manly – won the federal by-election in Nanaimo last night. That is truly wonderful news. I don’t think it will be too long before the Green Party hits the tipping point. Rather proud of the fact that Simon is one of the people who ran and didn’t win some years ago – but had a significant effect on the Party reaching this point.
Tomorrow – hiking.
