It was as if I had never stopped writing for a couple of years. Nothing felt odd – it was exactly the same. Put it down on paper. Tell the story. Make it interesting. Make it human. Grab people’s attention.
And, for god’s sake – get the grammar and punctuation right!
What I’m saying is that it was a good morning. I spent it all in front of my computer telling a story. The first draft is done and it feels good.
One last interview early next week and then complete it.
So I went to Slocan in the afternoon to walk the dogs at Owl Walk and along the rail trail.
Yes – that’s it – that and baking bread and doing laundry. Tomorrow we have a house showing so I know what I’ll be up to – cleaning, tidying and getting out with the dogs for a good, long walk.
A simple life.
