Spring is subtle here – at least now, a couple of days before April.
Simon and I took the dogs for a walk on the rail trail around Lemon Creek. The snow was gone in the places that got full sun. And there were gentle signs – the yellow of the willows, the birds singing, chasing each other, building nests. The warmth. The creeks gurgling beside the trail.
It was a pleasure to amble instead of hike – and to feel earth beneath my feet.
