Right – a day off from hiking/snowshoeing. Instead, it was a day to “get things done.”
First on the agenda: taxes! By the end of the day they should be paid to the government and we won’t have to think about them for another year. Leah, our H&R Block accountant is super efficient and smart. The entire operation took less than 30 minutes for both of us and was as painless as can be expected.
In fact, our grocery shopping, following hard on the heels of that appointment, cost more than the accounting. Ouch! But (deep breath) we did buy bulk stuff that will last a very long time.
Then to the lumber yard to pick up free firewood to last us to the end of the month. The cold snap in February used up more wood than we expected. Still, we’ve done well this year and the wood today was free. You gotta love free.
And now I’ve finished my trip report from yesterday, will take the dogs for a quick spin in the back 5 and finish laundry and otherwise have a lazy day.
Planning for the next two snowshoe trips is done.
And I do expect the house to sell very soon. How do I know that? I’m acting as though it will and I’m behaving as though it will and I’m preparing for the sale. Law of attraction at work. We both feel it in our bones. We are both in preparation mode – not pretending or wishing but really being in it.
