A Day In Nelson

So this was today’s sunset view from the house.

And today I did almost nothing. I have two speeds: flat out and stop. Today was a stop kind of day. After breakfast I did laundry and then shoveled the walks around the house. By then it was time for lunch and a nap and suddenly it was already 2 p.m.

yeah – lazy day.

and so I got in the car and drove downtown and wandered up and down Baker Street, stopped at the Co-op for dinner stuff and basically just came home. Because there is a car wash on the corner where I turn to go to Ben’s house, I simply had to stop. Truthfully, I have no idea when the car was last washed, but let me put it this way: I was surprised to discover that our car is white. Who knew?

There was nothing but good news from Simon today. Things are sorted and he even made some surprise discoveries about our systems that will make them run much better than before. He had a shower! He did dishes! He cleaned the bathroom and kitchen!

I am so impressed and pleased that things are sorting and sorted.

So now I am going to make an effort to prep for my avi course on the weekend and by prep I mean find out where I am supposed to go and what time I am supposed to be there.

As for the rest of the evening, I figure an early night (like that’s unusual?) and then a day of exploring all the trails up the mountain behind the house tomorrow.
