Simon said today that he’s been having a feeling lately that good things are about to happen. He called the feeling “anticipatory.” I’ve had this feeling in my life. It’s delightful!
So I’ll go with it: good things are about to happen.
We took a nice long dog snowshoe today on the local trails – good fun.
Tomorrow we get political. I’m not looking forward to a day in Nelson – taking the car in for an oil change, hanging around (akkk!) and then protesting in front of our local MLA’s office. But it has to be done. And I’m thrilled that my niece is joining us.
When the police become an arm of the government – when they become militarized – when they are sent to do the bidding of the oil and gas industry to build a pipeline through unceded First Nations land – then it is time to make our voices heard.
Tomorrow I will make my voice heard. It may not be a big one – but it is one.
