Merry Christmas

And there we are – the entire Niosi/Lindley family that is present today to celebrate Christmas.

The puppies celebrated by eating an entire sourdough pancake between them. I believe some maple syrup was also involved.

Simon got what all men are “supposed” to get – socks and underwear. And then he totally scored by getting a pair of slippers too.

I got hiking stuff – I mean really, what else are you supposed to get? More gear ties (best gift ever!) and small rolls of orange duct tape (awesome!) and a Spot – the jury is still out on this one. It’s a gift for Simon’s peace of mind.

This reminds me of what we used to do when we were children. The first question you always asked your friends: “What did you get?”

The best thing we got of course was love and peace and a beautiful Christmas walk by the lake.

And I don’t have to cook today – we are travelling to Nakusp for a big meal with friends.

And I have to take advantage of Internet right now – because as soon as the sun goes down, we are out of luck. It seems that Columbia Wireless forgot to put gas in their generator and their batteries are also dead.

Welcome to life in the Kootenays!
