It was Sheila’s brilliant idea to explore some trails very close to our house – up an unnamed logging road with vague directions on what we might find. So we explored – tried out some old trails, walked up some ridges and through a couple of cut blocks – and found the trails. And boy! Pretty fine stuff. We have more exploring to do but it was getting dark and we called it off. Excellent first go at it.
What is clear is that this will be brilliant snowshoeing territory in just a few weeks – there is enough open area and enough high ridges that it will give us hours of good going.
In other good news, a realtor visited us today – Nicky’s recommendation – and she was amazing. We liked her a lot. She’ll get back to us in a few days and we’ll decide on our next steps.
Simon and I also had a talk yesterday about what happens next – and I admit that I have a hard time wrapping my head around what to do when, for me, it’s still all theory until we sell.
