It’s been an oddly okay day – an odd day – maybe because I didn’t wake up or get up until almost 8.30 and that’s as late as I’ve slept in for decades. Holy heck!
So after a chores sort of morning, Simon and I walked the dogs to Bannock Point. Lucky – it poured all morning and the sky cleared this afternoon. It was one of those relaxing meanders – and I haven’t had a whole lot of those lately: really powerful, fast hikes, but not meanders.
The dogs had a good time: Shanara chased sticks in the lake and Abby’s day was made when she found a piece of old, rotting, disgusting dead thing that she carried and chewed vigorously.
She stinks. She thinks that’s terrific! Simon and I? Not so much.
But we’ve been separately and collectively into the politics of everything today. First, there’s the BC voting referendum, which the BC Liberal (read Socred) party is trying to sabotage with lies, mis-information and fear mongering. Then there’s south of the border where the Republicans are engaged in lies, mis-information and fear mongering.
