Yesterday, Tammy and did a long day – got up at 5 and out the door by 6.15. We had originally intended to hike all the way to Glory Basin at Kokanee Glacier Park – a bit ambitious. We did, however, get to Sapphire Lakes, including the upper lake and back in 8.5 hours, which I think is fairly decent. I was disciplined and only took 85 photos. I could have taken 185.
Words are inadequate to describe this kind of beauty. And Tammy and I met no one on the trail the entire day. Incredible!
Is this my new favourite hike? Of course. (until the next one).
But all I am doing this morning is posting a lot of photos becuse really – I have no words.
Wow – very beautiful! Reminds me of the Yukon in some ways, minus the black spruce!
undoubtedly, one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.
