Old Glory

Today was Old Glory. Quite a hike! Quite a wonderful day! It was early – leaving the house at about 6.30 a.m. And the hike is a lot – I think more than 1000 meters (no tracker with me today) Not to mention, we took the long way – up Plewman Trail to the ridge and back down Old Glory Trail. I do like that circuit, even though it adds 2 K. The meadows you come through are some of the prettiest on the entire 7 Summits Trail.

At any rate, the warm weather that was forecast didn’t quite materialize. This was the day of layering up, de-layering, layering up again, and so on ad infinitum. We were in tank tops one minute and gloves and down jackets the next.

That said, it was a perfectly perfect day.

Quiet here without my sweetie. I miss him and love him. Blessed to have him in my life.
