What do I mean by “in between?” Well – it’s the day after hiking and the day before a road trip and so – it’s been kind of – well – in between doing things.
Not that there’s anything wrong with that! I planted more things in the garden. That’s been one of the best parts of the day. I put in beans for the THIRD (!) time. Interesting that I bought another packet of Kentucky Wonder beans and these were so different – a totally different colour even! I think Simon was right when he suggested the first batch I bought were bad. At any rate, here’s hoping this lot takes. I pulled up the last of the first radish sowing and planted Boston lettuce in that row. And I put in my fourth row of radishes. Always radishes – yum. French breakfast – nice and spicy as they should be.
Everything is otherwise doing well. We should have excellent crops of everything. The tomato plants are huge and flowering nicely. With the heat predicted to follow this current wet spell, we should do quite well.
I came home from Fran’s place with a beautiful bouquet of peonies and irises! So wonderful to have beautiful flowers in the house.
Laundry – a great success! (How many people do you know who can get excited about laundry?) I washed the quilt and it came out beautifully.
What else? Oh, just walking the dog – stuff like that. Setting the alarm early tomorrow – I love road trips!
“Stuff like that” (just walking the dog) is usually the high point of my day. I love to get out with Quincy — he loves it too.
Yes – dog walks are lovely – but getting to the top of a mountain – that’s my kind of day 🙂
