Every now and then I have to take a completely domestic day just to catch up. So today was laundry, baking bread, cleaning the house and looking after the garden, which today consisted of re-seeding the beans. The seeds seem to have been eaten by some nefarious creature. Fingers crossed that the second sowing will germinate.
The garden is doing reasonably well – keeping in mind that I am still spoiled mightily by how things grow on the coast. There you just spit a seed into the soil and you have a watermelon two days later. Here – not quite so much.
But it’s coming along.
So – part of catching up was shopping and taking the dogs for a nice long walk at Galena. And now – getting ready to do Butter tomorrow. More importantly, planning the summer trips. So far it looks like Cathedral Lakes, the Purcells, and Sol Mountain Lodge. That’s a pretty fair lineup.
Next year: 3 – 4 weeks in the Swiss Alps.
Yup – those are the plans.
