Today was an epic snowshoe day. Our goal was Mount Roberts. But, due to a large detour for a mudslide near Castlegar, we didn’t get to the trailhead until 10. Still – up we went. By one p.m. we had to make a decision. Our best choice of half a dozen appeared to be Record Ridge. And besides, the sun was shining on the ridge – so we blazed a trail.
It turned out to be a fabulous choice.
‘Nuff said – the photos will show I’m not exaggerating about the beauty of this day – 15K, 860 metres elevation and 6 hours.
