I take heart knowing it’s not just here. My cousin in Sweden wrote an entire long blog post today about snow and more snow and – well, shitty weather.
Woke up this morning to pouring rain. Hey! That was okay right? Simon and I said, “Great – this will wash away the 200 feet of snow covering the garden! Half an hour later it turned to snow because – well, everyone knows that as the day progresses the temperature gets warmer and when that happens rain turns to snow. Right? Not right? Have I got my meteorology completely fucked up?
So it snoed all morning. And it stuck to the ground!
Yeah – I’ve got only one word of warning for the weather gods out there. They’d better smarten up by tomorrow morning because I have to drive. Epic snowshoe tomorrow – Wolf Ridge. Yes. Not going to miss it.
And then we are going to endeavour Syringa on Saturday – providing it’s not raining buckets.
We shall see.
Me? I’m baking bread and writing a story.
What else can you do?
Simon has been in the basement all day doing things with floors and ceilings and walls. Once anyone is brave enough to get up to see our place (maybe August when it’s all snow free), it’s going to look good.
