And so we did. We went up Payne Bluffs – yes, still with snowshoes and still with tons of snow. The whole trip was only about two or so hours – but so nice to work (because we were going up) and to catch up.
The best part? We decided it didn’t matter where Simon and I moved – we are lifelong friends and we love each other.
Yeah – that feels immeasurably good and comforting.
Meanwhile, Simon is off in Nakusp seeing an old friend from his Canmore days so that’s rather nice.
Also rather nice is organizing our trip to Mount Crowe tomorrow. Fun! Another day out on snowshoes! Yay! And, word has it, the snow is going to be pretty darn good.
Also nice (lots of nice today) is the half-hour Shaw TV interview with Ken Kirkby where my book “Ken Kirkby: a Painter’s Quest for Canada” was heavily promoted and nice things said about me.
The book was written at least 7 or 8 years ago – but still – how very nice.
And the last nice thing: the sun is shining into the house, snow is melting, and I’m warm.
