It was a different kind of snowshoe today – as I knew it would be.
A whole tone of us (18) did a KMC trip on the Ward’s Ferry Trail. Normally, neither Simon nor I like big crowds. As it turned out, it was the best part of the trip. Every single person was delightful. It was just a great crowd. We laughed a lot, talked a lot, and enjoyed the day. I got to explore a new trail – a shoulder season trip for sure. It was up and down and had a few tricky (slippery) sections. Halfway through, almost all of us took off our snowshoes – that’s how much the snow had melted. Hurrah!
Or, as Vicki pointed out several times during the trip: “Look Goody! Dirt!”
I can’t imagine how or where she got the idea that I’m done with snow.
Enjoyed the day. Good to get out and move the body. Good to get home and have a hot bubble bath. Also – good to chillax for the rest of the evening knowing all I have to do is heat up some soup and butter some bread for dinner.
