We woke up to sunshine! Actual sunshine!
Now if that isn’t reason to celebrate, I don’t know what is!. I celebrated by writing this morning and then we all went out for a dog walk/snowshoe across the street. We even had a view of Idaho Peak – the air was so clear , we could see the fire lookout on top.
It was totally awesome. And it wasn’t nearly as cold as we thought it would be. So (fingers crossed) we are far enough into the season that a high pressure system doesn’t necessarily mean total freezing cold.
So all of this is lovely, What else is lovely is that we have another house showing tomorrow. In the winter! I can’t get over it. I really didn’t believe we would have showings before spring. But we do. And it’s great.
I’m in the throes of writing a longer short story (oxymoron? A long short story?) that is a bit experimental and I like that. I’ve been doing a fair bit of experimenting in my writing – certainly with magical realism – but this is a bit different again. I think I like it but I also think that when I’m finished I’ll have a fair bit of editing to do – polishing if you will.
But it’s good. I like what I’m doing.
Tomorrow, I am hoping to get out for the club ski. Getting there could be an issue. Hope it all works.
