BC Wine and other Thursday Shenanigans

Simon and I are just foot soldiers in the heating-up war of the pipelines between Alberta and BC, but by George, as good soldiers we are doing our part by going to the liquor store and buying BC wine!

This could lead to a seriously drunken evening (not tonight – early call tomorrow for snowshoeing) with an ensuing game of drunken Scrabble. But hey – sometimes you have to sacrifice for the greater good.

Alberta can have its bitumen. We have our wine. I’ll bet ours tastes better!

In other news – quite a bit of writing today, some dog walking, some bread baking and some marvelling at how we, here in  the Kootenays, have the best of both worlds: all the deep snow of the Rockies combined with all the rain of the West Coast – awesome. Oh – and a complete lack of sun for many weeks on end.
