Still Grey

Yup – the titles of too many of these posts have the word “grey” in them. I thought I might beat it all today by going out for another snowshoe but things didn’t quite pan out that way.

No matter though – I wrote another story and after lunch Simon and I did a nice dog walk.

Tomorrow I am scheduled to drive to Nelson and go skiing with P’nina. If the roads are okay, I’ll go. I can’t remember the last time I drove. Weeks ago. I would have expected that as time went on, I’d be more amenable to driving in winter. Not so – the opposite in fact. Hmmmm.

I could go on about winter but there’s little point. Good news: I like skiing. More good news: another snowshoe trip coming up this Sunday at Strawberry Pass. And then more writing because I have more ideas.

I do have to work at being happy. It doesn’t come naturally to me these days. The effort isn’t huge – but I catch myself sometimes thinking, “Gosh – it’s been a long time since I’ve smiled.”

I used to wake up every morning feeling blessed. Every. Morning.

That hasn’t happened for a while.

This is interesting information for me to process.
