Okay – a bit of a random day – and, of course, we went with Plan B. Plan A – ski at Hills. And then, hallucinating that I was back on the West Coast, I listened to the rain pounding on our roof last night. Yep, I said to myself, there go the chances of skiing. So, instead, we met up at Bannock Point and snowshoed for two hours. Yes, it rained – but held off enough that we got some views and some nice things happening with clouds.
The sun actually shone into our house this afternoon. I can’t believe how good that felt!
And so I did a bit of this and that – some social media, lots of reading of “The Bone Clocks” – getting close to finishing the enormous book and boy, is it ever good!
What else? Realtor’s report on the showing yesterday: they loved the house and property but thought it was too close to the highway.
We decided to snowshoe the Seven Summits to Elgood on Sunday – yay!
And I still have energy cookies to bake. Bananas are thawing.
I am also questioning the usefulness of social media at this point. I don’t know. It works for some people – but it seems to me you have to pretty much dedicate your life to it. Not my style.
I now have to spend some time coming up with an idea for a story to write tomorrow. I have an idea, actually – one that is a bit outrageous. But hey! Why not outrageous? I am slowly coming to a point of not caring all that much about my audience (yes – I care – but in a good way) – or agents or publishers or publicizing what I do on social media. That focus gets too frustrating. I am focussing on what I do best – write.
