So here’s what an exciting day looks like Chez Lindley/Niosi. First, Simon got out the snowblower and cleared the driveway – this would be necessary in order to execute any plans from A through Z. While he did that, I did bank things and made lunch to take with us.
Then we hopped into the truck, made it down the driveway and crept along very snowy, slick roads until somewhere in Crescent Valley where things got ever so much better. And then (wait for it!) we hit the big time – yes – the Canadian Tire store in Castlegar!
And boy did we shop. Simon was so excited to buy new tea towels, dish rags, measuring cups and measuring spoons. Yup – we know how to rock a day!
And then we bought food and treats at the pet supply store. And then we drove home!
It was almost too much for me. I had to lie down for a brief nap before gathering up the pups and heading to Bannock Point for a vigorous snowshoe outing.
In order to keep the level of exuberance high, after dinner we are going to play Scrabble.
As you can see, we know how to make the most of a winter day when the snow isn’t coming down in buckets. Tomorrow I am going to ski. And then., if the forecast holds – snowshoeing up Mount Crowe. Yay!
