Plan B: snowshoe with Simon up Payne Bluffs.
Plan C: walk along Carpenter Creek with Simon and dogs.
The good news is that I didn’t have to go to Plan D. So I spent the morning writing another story. And, other than that, I feel singularly uninspired. I keep thinking that I should send my stories off to more agents but something is holding me back. I’m going to go with my hunch and wait a bit. I have them out there in places I want them to be.
As long as people are reading them – that feels right. For now.
And that’s it. If you’ve ever felt like a bit of a blob – or uninspired – or just plain blah – then you know where I’m coming from.
Simon is busy with his book. Today is the big launch day for Mannethorn’s Key – so he’s feeling anything but blah! It’s his first book! It’s published! He is a published author! Very exciting. And because he is his own publicity person as well, that’s his current job. No matter how good your work is (and his is excellent) it won’t do you any good if people don’t know about it.
And that takes work.
So the day has been quiet – two people sitting in front of their computers – doing their best to make good things happen.
