Ski number 3

Let me state right off the top: today I did not fall on my face – or my butt – or any other part of my precious anatomy. This is a first. And this – only on my third outing.

There is hope that I will get a hang of this x-country skiing after all.

And a nice morning it was, skiing from Lemon Creek to the Trumpeter Swans and back – I even managed to get up a slight rise (I think it was a whopping two inches) and I schussed down said rise (again – let me stress that it was at the dizzying height of two inches.).

I would call it a successful morning. And for the first time, the insides of my thighs don’t feel like I’ve been doing the splits at the gym for four hours.

I posted one of my short stories (see previous post from earlier today), had a nap, a bubble bath and am currently doing kitchen things – bread and soup for dinner.

Today some of the grey cleared from the skies. This afternoon we could actually see the mountains across the way! And tomorrow, we’re pretty much guaranteed blue skies up on Evening Ridge! You know what that means – a zillion photos!

Stay tuned.
