I know no other member of the Coven (or no one period) who so embodied her Stand.
As I drove into town today, I thought about that – about Sandra’s Stand – and about who she was and what she embodied. And I sensed (felt, hoped) that just the tiniest spark of what so exceptional about her entered into me.
What is it about her qualities that I admire and want to emulate? Intrepid. She was stunningly brave. Oh sure, I can probably scramble up some mountains that she wouldn’t touch – but that’s not bravery. She had the fortitude and courage to call it the way she saw it. She didn’t lie. She didn’t sugar coat. She told the truth. She was never afraid to speak her truth. She didn’t back down. She was never afraid to be vulnerable – to show herself fully – to show her tears and to reach out to others.
I never once saw her deliberately hurt someone but if truth was going to make someone uncomfortable, so be it – she told it.
And she listened – she’s probably best known for that – for really listening and in doing just that and only that, helping people heal. Advice? She allowed people to find their best advice inside themselves.
I know that I will be in her presence tomorrow.
I feel blessed.
