Preparing for a bunch of things, mostly for leaving tomorrow at about 7 am for Vancouver. This involved, doing laundry, cleaning the house, baking bread (I need to pack a sandwich, right?), writing another story (31!) and editing another chapter in Simon’s book. Still stuff to do – pack for one thing. Oh yes! Right – pack. And convert some files so I can edit on my iPad. And other stuff. You know – stuff.
Stuff always need to get done before you go anywhere. It’s ubiquitous.
It’s been VERY grey today – and snowing.
But here’s what I’m excited about: Simon took my new skis with him to Nakusp; the shop there conditioned them for me so I’m totally ready for the season. The guy at the store said I got the deal of the century! Yay!
Ready to ski.
Given the amount of snow coming down, I don’t think I’ll have to wait too long.
Simon is doing things with the burn pile.
I took a quick break while writing and editing to take Abby in the back four – just a quick tour. Today I really noticed the difference in this property. It’s looking fine. The house is beautiful; the property so much tidier than ever. Really – it’s darn nice and I’m thinking worth every penny we are asking.
All thanks to Simon and his dedication and hard work. Oh sure – I contributed: baked bread and kept him fed. Ha!
Okay – better do some packing.
Bittersweet travels.
