One more happy photo from two days ago. Today, I have had a mostly wonderful day: put the garden to bed, baked hiking cookies and wrote another short story. But then! OMG – THEN I began a major technology thingy. And really “thingy” is the only way to describe it.

I know that computers and all other devices are supposed to be more and more user friendly all the time.

I am here to say that for the most part They. Are. Not.

Okay, I had to erase and reformat my backup hard drive today. That went very well. But then I had to do some updates and downloads and synching on iCloud on other devices. Here’s a word of advice. Once you have an Apple ID – Do. Not. Change. It. I have changed my password and ID four times today and still, various bits and pieces just CANNOT figure out that I have a new one and keep returning to the old one and then will not accept any password I try but I can’t log out of and erase the old ID without providing a password. And there’s no point in asking them to email the password because the Apple ID is my old email account which no longer exists.

You see the dilemma?

Why is technology never as easy as they say it will be. And why oh why do the idiots who create all these programs and security safeguards never think it through?

Well – there we are. My frustration rant for the day.

All I want ( simple really – is for all my devices to play together like good boys and girls in the iCloud. That’s all.

And it should not (my opinion) take half a day to make that happen. Or a full day – who knows how much more time I’ll have to spend on it tomorrow.

Ok – breathing now. Thinking happy thoughts. Going to my happy place in virtual mountain land.

Getting skis next week. Because of a wonderful, amazing friend, I believe I will have a pair of X-country skis! Yay! I will have a whole new way to fall on my face every few steps or so.
