But first (and very, very important) the washing machine works again! My husband is a hero. He figured out what went wrong and just bloody well fixed it. When I began to dance, hop around and clap my hands in joy (nothing is more exciting that being able to do laundry!) he noted that he’d done his bit for the “happy wife, happy life” scenario. In fact, I showed so much appreciation that he began to plot about all the various gadgets he could break just so that he could fix them again and elicit similar responses.
I still have things to do: there is food to prepare for the trip and dinner to make for tonight. But I’m almost there. The important things are packed: chocolate and a warm sleeping bag – and (oh yes) toilet paper.
We’ve both been looking forward to the Skyline since last year, just as we did with Mount Robson. So this is going to be awesome.
I’ll obviously be offline for a while. Stay tuned for when I get back. I suspect there will be a ton of photos. (no kidding, Sherlock!)
